I Tshepiso Hlongwane completed my theory studies at South West Gauteng College. I am writing this testimonial regarding my internship program experience so far. I am a Human Resource management at TWOPNM Academy. Currently it's my sixth month in an internship program, it is a very educational experience for me, where I have to learn many different things which are outside my theorical my qualification as the company is a Marketing & sales company. I benefited by learning how to draft Quotations for different companies or individuals, partnering the company with different organisations that deals with education and training. I learned how to use Microsoft word, Excel and Power-point. My tasks include sitting on interviews for the new interns/employees, applying to different Seta’s for discretionary grants, drafting registers and also editing or creating different documents for them. I also learned how to use Microsoft teams, setting-up meetings. As an intern you are required to do different tasks at a given period of time and having a mentor to guide you through all your task given, it is a best thing ever, as it makes your training even much better. It is a great pleasure and a big Thank you to TWOPNM, SWGC and MICT Seta to grant students like myself an opportunity of getting an internship to convert theory studies to practical work experience, that would open greater opportunities. Learning + Training = A productive intern

Learnerships
A Learnership is a work-based education and training programme that is linked to a qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Learnerships are occupationally directed programmes that consist of both structured theoretical learning and practical workplace experience. We are best known for our skills development solutions which we craft directly in accordance with customer requirements – often peculiar to customer high-end ICT technologies. Other initiatives are driven by the demands and unique requirements of the ICT sector and our customers in general. We offer training as an accredited provider, based on a defined and industry approved curriculum. Skills are developed through practical and theoretical learning initiatives designed to present learners with real life work place scenarios. We share knowledge and theoretical skills in this learnership, in vendor-neutral terms and it is the responsibility of our students to learn and practise these skills wherever possible.
Internships
Our internship programme is designed to give graduates an opportunity to extend their academic qualifications through structured workplace exposure and specialised training.
Customised Courses
We also offer a range of customised programmes aimed at bridging the training gaps that are identified during collaboration with our customers, or by Velisa Academy’s skills audit processes undertaken for our customers. These are skills-programmes uniquely designed to address specific training needs relevant to our customer’s organisation. This could come in a form of short skills programmes aligned to a particular unit standard or a full qualification consisting of multiple unit standards depending on the need.
